Potter County Needs

The Northcentral PA Recovery Hub has identified key needs within the county to enhance recovery support. Addressing these needs will help create a more connected and supportive environment for individuals in recovery. These include:

CRS (Certified Recovery Specialist) refers to a trained peer support worker who has personal experience with recovery. CRSs provide support, mentorship, and guidance, helping others navigate recovery resources, set goals, and manage challenges. They play a critical role in fostering trust and encouragement within the recovery community.

CM (Case Manager) is a professional who coordinates care and support services for individuals in recovery. They help clients access needed services, such as housing, employment, and healthcare, and they create individualized care plans, monitor progress, and ensure that clients receive comprehensive, well-coordinated support.

Recovery Housing provides a supportive, and substance-free recovery to individuals for a stable environment crucial for maintaining sobriety. These residences often offer peer support, structured routines, and access to resources, fostering a community that aids in long-term recovery.

Stigma Reduction around addiction and recovery is vital for creating inclusive, supportive communities. Through public education, advocacy, and personal storytelling, stigma reduction efforts promote understanding, empathy, and acceptance, encouraging individuals to seek help without fear of judgment.

Transportation ensures reliable transportation is availableas a vital component of recovery, enabling individuals to attend treatment, access support services, secure employment, and engage fully in community activities.
